The 8th Water Rocket Competition in Ho Chi Minh City – 2018 organized by The Center of Science and Technology Development for Youth in order to create a platform for exchanging knowledge on scientific applications, creativity and solutions. Healthy entertainment for union members, youths in the city. Thereby, to promote the creative movement, the passion for science, especially the movement to create water rocket for the city children.
Every year, the competition attracts more than 200 teams (each team consists of 03 members) who are students from secondary schools, high schools in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces such as Binh Duong, Long An, Tay Ninh and Tien Giang.
The opening ceremony and competition will take place in October annually at the Military Stadium Zone 7.
Candidates will participate in rounds:
- Preliminaries: Shooting long-range rocket.
- Semi-final: Shooting long-range rocket to meet the target.
- Final Round: Shooting vertical water rocket & parachute.
