Fund for Young & Talented was established by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in 1993 which bring all the resources of society into consideration, care and support for young talents to have a chance to prosper. The mission of the Fund is to sponsor young talents who are citizens of Vietnamese, not over 30 years old, studying in Ho Chi Minh City, have outstanding records and be recognized, honored by the community and society in fields of: education, science and technology, arts and culture, physical training and sports.
The Fund’s selection criteria is to give priority to young talents who have achieved outstanding achievements at competitions, city-level awards, national and international awards, have significant contribution to the society.
With that in mind, in 2017, the Fund Council decided to sponsor 10 talented young talents in the fields of Education – Learning – Science and Technology (03 Young Talents), Art Culture (02 Young Talents , Sports and Physical Education (05 young talents) with the total amount of VND 200,000,000 (Two hundred million). This is a fund to support young talents to cover the cost of study, research, training and competition abroad.
