International Student Science Forum Ho Chi Minh is an international academic activity organized by the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City, Department of Science and Technology City of Ho Chi Minh City in order to create opportunities for exchanges and learning both academic knowledge and creative ideas between international students, Vietnamese student who study abroad and Vietnamese students.

At the event in 2018, The forum was taken place from December 04th to 08th, 2018 in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam with the participation of 70 official delegates coming from 09 countries: Cambodia, Canada, Indonesia, Laos, Singapore, South Korea, Russia, Taiwan – China, Vietnam. Additionally, this forum attracts over 1,000 students attending as an audience, joining in several interactive activities.

The opening ceremony of the Forum was held at the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City – University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Auditorium and received the attention of city leaders, scientists and enterprises, foreign embassies in Vietnam.

The theme of this year’s forum is Human resources in the Industry 4.0

At the plenary session, delegates listened to many experts and scientists sharing their views on the topic of the Forum

At the session, the Forum’s participants were divided into many discussion groups which will discuss the Forum’s topic, focusing on main themes: The necessary skills for career developments; The education trends in the Industry 4.0; Labor in the international integration; The role of organizations in supporting students to improve their professional skills.

On each topic, delegates shared about career development skills required for entry into the labor market; Studying new educational trends in the context of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, the challenging opportunities universities will face of rapid changes in education trends; Labor environment in the change due to the impact of the industrial revolution 4.0, opportunities and challenges for workers, labor mobility among countries; The activities of mass organizations in schools, government organizations, private organizations in supporting students to develop professional skills.

Along with the main activities of the forum, delegates visited the Can Gio Mangrove Forest Biosphere Reserve, experience the team building, cultural exchange at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Picnic Center.

They participated in exchanges with students of many universities in Ho Chi Minh City such as: Banking University Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City – International University. In these trips, they have visited, watched the model, seen the creative research of students and joined the performing arts activity.

Delegates also visited some cultural, history relics such as Ho Chi Minh City Museum, War Remnants Museum.
