Nurishing dreams – Sparkling innovation

The Center of Science and Technology Development for Youth was established on 03/08/1989 as a subsidiary of the Union of Ho Chi Minh City in accordant to the People’s Committe of Ho Chi Minh City’s decree.

Recognizing the importance of scientific researches and innovation in technological develoment and modernization of the country, the Center of Science and Technology Development for Youth is dedicated to a single cause to “nurishing dream and sparkling innovation” in young people across the city by organizing science-ralated competitions and playgrounds that aims to insprire creativity in youths.

All competitions and awards organized by the Center are aim toward young teens and aspiring scholars. For example, the Student Scientific Research Award – Euréka, the Youth IT Contest of HCMC, the Youth Innovation Contest,… all of which serve to introduce new innovative ideas and solutions from the city youths with the prospect of competing in national or international level.

Furthermore, the Center of Science and Technology Development for Youth also collaborate with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to organize programs that support young scholars in their endevours to research and create. Besides that, it is the Center’s mandate to keep inspiring creativity and interest in science and technology through large-scale activities such as the The Creative Youth Festival, Young volunteer for Science Development Program, Youth Creative TV Program, Knowledge Bus, Water Rocket Competition, Old Computer- New Knowledge, and instructional classes for citizens.

In order to mobilize social resources for the development of the creative movement of the city’s youth, the Center of Science and Technology Development for Youth also collaborates with industries and education institutions to organize competitions and events for students and young scholar; such as the Makerthon Programming Contest, Microsoft Office Specialist World Chapionship, Robotacon,…

In the near future, the Center will extend relation with international organizations as well as NGOs to further expand our capabilities to create an environment that encourage youths to learn and express their knowledge and creativity to international communities.

With a roster of enthusiactic personnels and experts, the Center pledge to commit to the science development movement to give the city’s youths the tools they need for a better future.
